Warhammer 40K: The Emperor’s Children are gearing up for their full army pre-order this weekend, featuring some highly anticipated kits.

Anticipation Builds for the Emperor’s Children

It certainly feels like ages since we last saw the Emperor’s Children make their entrance. Previously, they were introduced with a limited Army Set, but this weekend, the full range is finally ready for pre-orders. This means that fans will soon have the chance to assemble a complete army! There are several kits I’m particularly eager to see the community get their hands on.

Noise Marines

First up on our list are the Noise Marines. These iconic “Cult Troops” of the Emperor’s Children are making their comeback. While they may not be the classic “Cult Troop” version, this new kit is leaning more towards “Cult Heavy Support,” and I must say, it’s been a long time coming! I’m really digging the new weapon sculpts and the variety these units offer. I can’t wait to see how players incorporate them into their lists.

Lord Exultant

Next, we have the Lord Exultant. Though this kit was part of the Army Set, it wasn’t widely available until now. This character pack offers fantastic modeling opportunities, and I’m thrilled it’s finally coming out. You’ll get to customize your miniatures with a plethora of options, adding a unique touch to your collection.

Lucius the Eternal

Lucius the Eternal is another long-awaited figure. He’s the champion character of the Emperor’s Children, and while some may argue for Fabius Bile, I think this new range cements Lucius as the standout combat character. I’m particularly excited to see what the community does with this miniature. The whip he wields will certainly be a focal point for many talented painters out there. The results are bound to be stunning!

Fulgrim, Daemon Primarch of Slaanesh

Last on our list is the formidable Fulgrim. While Lucius is impressive, Fulgrim’s daemonic splendor takes the spotlight. Although some might feel this version pales in comparison to the Forge World Horus Heresy Character series, I think it has one major advantage: playability.

The Forge World version boasts massive wings and a grand stature, which can make it a bit unwieldy on the tabletop. Is it cool? Absolutely! Is it practical? Not really. The new plastic version retains the large wings but is much more manageable. If you’re a hardcore collector, it might be wise to keep the resin version in a display case while using the plastic one for your games. I’m sure your opponents will understand the need behind that strategy!

The Unleashing of the Emperor’s Children

Those are the kits that have me personally buzzing with excitement! While there are other kits available for pre-order, these are the ones that truly get my gears turning. Overall, the Emperor’s Children have been a highly anticipated army for players, and with the standalone codex, they can finally run as a cohesive force. I’m eager to see how this army performs on the tabletop and how many people jump in to paint and play with them!

Are you looking forward to the Emperor’s Children? Will this be the army you choose to build for the tabletop?

In conclusion, the upcoming pre-orders for the Emperor’s Children are set to reignite the excitement in the community. These kits not only add depth to the army but also showcase some incredible modeling opportunities for enthusiasts. I can’t wait to see how people embrace these new miniatures and make them their own!

  • What are the key features of the Noise Marines? The Noise Marines are designed to function as “Cult Heavy Support,” featuring new weapon sculpts and customization options.
  • What makes the Lord Exultant unique? The Lord Exultant kit allows for extensive customization, offering a variety of modeling opportunities.
  • Why is Lucius the Eternal significant? Lucius is recognized as the champion character for the Emperor’s Children, especially with the new miniature designs elevating his status.
  • How does the new Fulgrim differ from the Forge World version? The new Fulgrim is made of plastic, making it more practical for tabletop use compared to the larger, resin Forge World model, which can be cumbersome.
  • What should collectors consider when choosing between resin and plastic miniatures? Collectors might keep the resin versions for display while utilizing the durable plastic versions for gameplay to avoid potential damage.
