Explore the exciting new Lego Harry Potter sets for 2025, featuring Hogwarts, Fantastic Beasts, and more!
The Magic Continues in 2025!
Hey there! The phenomenon of the 21st century – Harry Potter – is still going strong in 2025! And that’s fantastic, because we’re getting seven brand new summer sets, including a massive addition to the modular Hogwarts, buildable Fantastic Beasts, a continuation of the subseries featuring the magical shops of Diagon Alley, and much more! Fans are thrilled, and I’m eagerly awaiting what’s to come. To top it off, let’s discuss the September collectible! Let’s dive in!

30706: Quidditch Lesson
Let’s start with the February polybag that hasn’t made it into any of my articles yet. This curious set is quite the head-scratcher: Harry Potter dressed in a goalkeeper’s uniform (even though he’s a Seeker), holding a beater’s bat, facing off against a statue wielding two swords. Strange? Yes. Useful? Absolutely! The striped goalkeeper’s uniform can be handy in many DIY projects, even as a simple sweater. Statues are always a nice addition, and we can use the parts for future builds. It’s a wonderful resource set that I recently managed to bring in, and it’s now available in my shop. Release date: February 1, 2025, pieces: 27, price: ~5 euros.

76445: Hogwarts Castle: Herbology Class
Unfortunately, the license for The Lego Group to produce sets is strictly limited to scenes from the films. They must use specific characters and sets, and Warner Bros personally approves or rejects every set. Hence, we are stuck in an endless loop of recreating scenes from our beloved movies. Perhaps the series will change things? Or maybe we’ll still be reminiscing about good old Harry Potter while the series flops. Who knows?
The set features a VERY cramped greenhouse, overflowing with plants, mushrooms, pots, and various accessories. It includes three figures of different collectible values and brand new “baby mandrakes.” I believe this set could be combined with the latest modular Hogwarts, even if there aren’t any visible connections or attachments at first glance. I highly value this set for its abundance of interesting solutions and useful accessories. A mini-figure skirt as a carnivorous plant? Why not! Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 390, price: 50 euros.

76448: Fawkes: Dumbledore’s Phoenix
In recent years, The Lego Group has been quite playful with the Harry Potter series, releasing these cartoonish sets. Who could forget the Owl Buckbeak at the “Privet Drive” sign #76425 or Harry and Hagrid on the motorcycle with sidecar #76443? And now, we have this masterpiece. We’re literally one historical step away from mechanical robot suits in the Harry Potter universe. I would be very interested to see the internal reporting figures from TLG to understand how many of these sets have been produced and if they’re bringing in profits. Maybe I’m missing something, and they’re tapping into some consumer niche?
As for the set: a sword that looks more like a short gel pen, a phoenix resembling an oversized parrot, a phoenix larva, and a hat shaped like a pile of guano. It’s just as bizarre as it sounds. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 299, price: 20 euros.

76449: Chomping Monster Book of Monsters
The release of this set has been a long time coming. The absolute success of last year’s book (the gift GWP set #30628) hinted that customers wanted such a product. Its implementation fills me with absolute delight: a terrifying, fluffy spider-like book in real size is equipped with an inertia motor (pull it back, release, and the monstrous book, chomping its teeth, rolls forward!).
The pieces with the book title look like printed elements, not stickers, which adds value to the set. Plus, they included a Neville figure with a unique (for now) book in minifigure format. How cool is that? This artifact will look fantastic alongside the Hogwarts Symbols (set #76391) and the Sorting Hat (set #76429) on your collection shelf. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 518, price: 60 euros.

76450: Book Nook: Hogwarts Express
Lego is successfully expanding my knowledge. The sets have introduced me to many series, artists, games, and now the concept of “Book Nook.” The Book Nook is a Lego innovation for 2025, and we’ll see sets of this theme across different series. Perhaps the product will be in demand, and the range will expand in the future.
So here we have a set you’re meant to place on your bookshelf between printed volumes. In my opinion, despite the excellent idea, the execution feels a bit rough. Half of the promotional photos suggest connecting the two halves of the “nook” and inserting them among the books. I really didn’t appreciate the visuals when the tail and the locomotive of the same train sit on different tracks, and the same platform is cut in half. The quotes featured have become a trademark of the Hogwarts Express sets from Lego in recent years (done in the same style as collectible set #76405). However, when placing books between the sets, it becomes quite curious but utterly impractical. Overall, the set does not fulfill its intended purpose. But it does bring an improved torso of Ron Weasley. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 832, price: 100 euros.

76451: Privet Drive: Aunt Marge’s Visit
We’ve already seen the house on Privet Drive #4 in 2020 with set #75968 (and it was available back in 2002 as well), but this time we have the crown jewel of these charming houses. Finally, the house is not split but is on hinges, with the option to open and close. Sure, it suffers a bit from logic when Harry’s and Dudley’s rooms become one space when closed, but for the volume and price, you can’t do much better.
The interiors are well thought out, and the exterior is detailed. The drawbacks of the set include the constant urge to chase all possible references: the window grille from the second film, letters at the door from the first movie, and the scene of Aunt Marge inflating from the third film.
In the scene directly at the table, Harry was wearing a checkered shirt, and he put on the sweater just before leaving. Personally, I would have liked to see Harry in a shirt since he already appears in the Night Bus set. Uncle Vernon, Dudley, and Aunt Marge (with a proper figure) – are unique and hold collectible value. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 639, price: 90 euros.

76452: Quality Quidditch Supplies & Ice Cream Parlour
The flagship Harry Potter sets from the last two years are just astounding. Following the giant Great Hall #76435 comes an even larger Tower! It incorporates the best trends from its counterpart: now, in addition to the molded Troll, we’ll have a molded Cerberus, along with the ghostly entourage featuring Nearly Headless Nick in a new format. For the first time, we will also see the magical creatures care professor, Silvanus Kettleburn.
Let’s recap the main advantages: 1) a gigantic structure; 2) unique figures; 3) unique fantastic beasts; 4) the ability to combine with last year’s flagship (and possibly future ones).
Next come not quite flaws, but repetitions: another Gryffindor dormitory with a “new” Fat Lady, another version of Dumbledore’s office, further remakes of the final challenges from the “Philosopher’s Stone,” and a version of the Mirror of Erised. Sooner or later, most Harry Potter fans who buy Lego every year will dismantle all their sets and build their own castle. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 2135, price: 260 euros.

76458: Thestral Family
Three years ago, when I described the first two shops in this format, I took a sharp critical tone. It seemed strange to release such small “misunderstandings” in a reduced format after the release of a large collectible Diagon Alley. However, practice has shown that these sets contain a lot of interesting accessories, include quite necessary collectible figures to fill our magical world of building, and utilize curious design solutions. Like everything in this world – Lego collectible sets are also imperfect, and I want to take and combine these sets with that street, improving and adding my own ideas. The fantastic option with the broom. Outside the shop is a gear (Technic element) – turn it, and the broom simulates flying in the display. Awesome!
I’ve already bought the previous sets in the series (Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes + Owl Post #76422 and Ollivander’s + Madam Malkin’s Robes #76439) and will undoubtedly acquire this set too. I’m curious how many more years this subseries will last and whether these shops will surpass the collectibles. Release date: June 1, 2025, pieces: 795, price: 100 euros.
Final Thoughts:
The strategic concept of releases at TLG has evidently changed. All major series are gradually being divided into subseries: mini ships, battle packs, buildable figures, life-size figures, Brickheadz, collectibles, shops, titans, and many more. Apparently, there are semi-annual “slots” that are adjusted based on demand, and these slots are simply filled with designer ideas. We need three Brickheadz, and voila, the employees are already brainstorming thoughts and models. This is how it works in every series and subseries.
What awaits us in the future? Last year, they talked about a collectible Night Bus with 2500 pieces, which turned out to be the Weasley’s house. Now they’re claiming that a September Advent Calendar will be released, along with a collectible Hogsmeade village set containing 3228 pieces for 380 euros. They promise a GWP for 202 pieces. It’s interesting how they will play this out. Most likely, there won’t be any fantastic beasts added, which is a pity, but will there be a Boar’s head? We’ll see very soon!
