There are still trade-offs. A browser-based setup depends on the interface and the way external archive files are loaded. The debugger and assembler are useful but not as deep as more established programs. The CRT filter is atmospheric rather than transformative. None of those points ruins the experience, but they do keep Turbo80 from being everything to everyone.
For ordinary browsing and play, though, the balance is convincing. The library is broad, the individual pages provide useful context, and launching a game is pleasantly immediate.
